Maidan in Moldova. About 10 thousand people protesting in Chisinau

According to the Interfax correspondent, a few thousand protesters demand the investigation of such a large money withdrawal. They are calling for the resignation of Attorney General, Director of the National Centre for the Fight against Corruption, Director of the Customs Service, heads of the Supreme Court Chamber, the Appeals Chamber of Chisinau, the Council for Protection of Competition.
As reported by Interfax, the co-chair of the Civil Platform Dignity and Justice, Angela Arama, this political force insists on the immediate reform of these state institutions.
"Without the resignation of the heads of the mentioned institutions and real reforms, the society would not know who is to blame for the theft of money from the banks, whose liquidity is currently supported by the National Bank, which received permission from the government to issue to these financial institutions more than 14 billion lei ($777 million)," said Ms. Arama.
Among the demands of protesters are genuine freedom of expression and freedom of the press.
"We demand that the government stop attacking the free media not favored by authorities," said Ms. Arama.
The other co-chair of the platform Dignity and Justice, Valentin Dolgonyuk, told Interfax that "the current government in Moldova with "civilized opposition" continues to plunder the people, ignoring its legitimate demands."
According to police, there are about 10 thousand protests. Leaders of the platform Dignity and Justice were refused by Chisinau City Hall to march in the city center.
