30 under 30: The 2015 winners

Magnum Photos at The Photography Show were looking for 30 talented, young, international photographers to have their work exhibited at the NEC in March.

And after careful deliberation, our judges – photography journalist Gemma Padley, FT Weekend Magazine deputy picture editor Josh Lustig and Magnum photographers Chris Steele-Perkins and Moises Saman – have found them.

"I was happily surprised by the quality of the entries, and inspired to see so many personal stories that originate from an honest understanding of the issues,” said Moises Saman. “I was most impressed by the challenge to the more traditional visual language that most of the finalists applied to their stories."

“This story is about people who suffer from the rare skin disease Epidermolysis bullosa. In the past, Moldovan medics didn’t know about this disease. To that extend that newborns with EB were treated with a special chemical that caused more blisters to appear.” As well as having their work exhibited, these 30 photographers will take part in exclusive industry portfolio reviews.

They’ll also automatically be nominated for three “people’s choice” awards, voted for by the public, via social media. The award winners will have their work showcased on The Photography Show and Magnum Photos websites.
